"God's Word is for Everyone"

A Call to Faithfulness—Part 10
Titus Chapter 2

1. We must take hold of God's Word and work it out in our lives!

And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is at work in you who believe.
—1 Thessalonians 2:13 (NLT)

2. God's Word should be handled with care!

Let your teaching be so correct that it can't be criticized. Then those who want to argue will be ashamed because they won't have anything bad to say about us.
—Titus 2:8 (NLT)

Work hard so God can approve you. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth.
—2 Timothy 2:15 (NLT)

3. God's Word challenges us!

And remember, it is a message to obey, not just to listen to. If you don't obey, you are only fooling yourself.
—James 1:22

For the word of God is full of living power. It is sharper than the sharpest knife, cutting deep into our innermost thoughts and desires. It exposes us for what we really are.
—Hebrews 4:12

4. God's Word attracts us!

Then they will make the teaching about God our Savior attractive in every way.
—Titus 2:10 (NLT)

5. God's Word causes growth in our lives!

Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.
—1 Peter 2:2-3
