About Grace Church's Student Ministries!
Our Approach to Youth Ministry at Grace Church is to stay "Christ-centered, Purpose Driven, Student and Family Sensitive." We want our youth to know Jesus be involved in a youth ministry that has purpose, and is sensitive to the needs of the family!
Our Purpose is to encounter the lost, empower the saved and engage the ready. We believe that without a relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ people are lost. We want them to know how God showed His love for us and give them an opportunity to respond to Him (Romans 5:8). We want youth to be empowered to live a life that's pleasing to God, knowing and doing His will. We want youth engaging in service with God, learning to join God at work in the world we live in!
Our Plan is to pursue a growing relationship with Christ and to help students do the same; provide opportunities for youth to learn about God and His plan for them; partner with youth and their families; and help them fulfill their purpose in Christ!
Youth Gatherings
"Encounter" Youth Gathering for Junior High and High School happens every Wednesday Night at the Teen Center USA on Elk Grove BLVD, 7-9PM. The first hour is "hangout" time and the second hour we gather in small groups and tackle tough issues. We share openly and discover what God has to say about the stuff we deal with in life by getting into His Word, the Bible. Our Goal is to "Encounter" God and get to know Him and His plan for us. Every other Wednesday Night there's food and we always have a great time! There are pool tables, video games and a (monitored) computer lab for those who haven't finished their homework!
"Empower" Youth Gathering happens every Sunday morning at 10:30AM during the second adult worship service at Grace Church. The Youth are "Empowered" to live God-honoring lives as we get into God's Word, the Bible! There's often lively discussion and donuts or pastries to munch on. "Good times... good times!" Junior High and High School meet separately, and tackle different topics. We look forward to seeing you!
